Agadir is the coastal gateway: most of our twelve routes from here are day trips, from the surf village of Taghazout and the Paradise Valley pools to Essaouira, Taroudant and the painted rocks of Tafraout in the Anti-Atlas. All of them return to your hotel the same evening.
The Sahara is further from Agadir than from Marrakech, so the desert tours are longer and take a different road: south-east through Taroudant and the saffron town of Taliouine, then over the Anti-Atlas to the Draa valley. Zagora’s dunes take three days, the wild Erg Chegaga three days by 4×4 or five via Zagora, and Merzouga four days with a night in Ouarzazate on the way.
Because these routes cross country most visitors never see, they suit a second or third visit to Morocco as much as a first.

Questions about leaving from Agadir
Where do you pick us up?
At your hotel in Agadir, or in Taghazout and the resorts along the bay. Day trips leave in the morning and return the same evening.
How long are the day trips?
Between eight hours (Paradise Valley, Taghazout, Souss-Massa) and twelve hours (Marrakech). Each tour page shows the approximate length.
Can we reach the Sahara in two days from Agadir?
Not comfortably. The desert is a long way east; our shortest desert tours from Agadir take three days, which gives you a full night in the dunes without spending both days on the road.
Which road do the desert tours take?
South-east through Taroudant and the saffron town of Taliouine, then over the Anti-Atlas to the Draa valley or to Ouarzazate. It is a different road from the Marrakech tours, through country most visitors never see.
What is included in the price?
The vehicle with driver-guide and fuel, hotel pickup and drop-off, and on the desert tours the camp or bivouac with dinner and breakfast and the camel ride. Lunches, drinks, tips and entrance fees are not included; each tour page lists exactly what is in and out.
Where do we sleep on the Chegaga tour?
The first night in a riad at the kasbah of Tamnougalt in the Draa valley, the second in an equipped bivouac at Erg Chegaga with dinner, breakfast and music.
How do we confirm a tour?
Tell us your dates and group size, we confirm we can run it and quote the price, then you hold the dates with a 15% deposit through PayPal. The balance is paid on arrival in Morocco.
What if we have to cancel?
Cancellation is free up to 7 days before departure and the deposit is refunded in full. Inside 7 days, write to us and we will do what we can.
